"The Forbidden"

There are some things that our body does that leaves us completely without control. The urges overpower our free will to stop ourselves. The after affects of this can really only be monumentally disastrous.

My girlfriend and I were always the adventurous type. We were the people to explore graveyards in the dead of night and watch scary movies in the dark. Often times, we'd find ourselves exploring abandoned buildings and, every once in a while, things would get steamy.
Of course, the hot stuff was just making out some, before convincing each other that we see a ghost. It was always pure gold to look at her face and see her terrified before shooting me an angry look like she wanted to hit me for doing that to her.
Little did she know I had a sweet surprise waiting for her the next time she and I were together.
I waited outside of her work, parking right next to her car in the parking lot. As I waited I played a game on my phone. I found myself frustrated and nearly punched the steering wheel when I heard a familiar voice.
"Hey hun, what are you doing here?" my girlfriend asked.
"Hop in," I responded. "I have something to show you that I know you'll love."
She rolled her eyes and circled around my car. She tossed her purse and work stuff in the back seat and I took off.
It didn't take long before we arrived at what I knew would be her favorite place, an abandoned mental institution. I think I even heard her shriek with excitement when we pulled up closer to the building.
I was glad it was on its way to getting dark, as going in the three story building in broad daylight would be so easy to see. At night, however, the trees hanging around the entrance of the building hid anything well in the shadows.
We made our way inside and I turned on my phone's flash light. The door let out a loud squeaking as I carefully shut it behind me.
I spotted my girlfriend taking off and turning into the first room she saw. I followed her in there with a smile on my face. I loved seeing her as happy as she was.
When I walked into the room, she crawled onto the table and told me to strap her in. This was a weird request, but she was also a very unpredictable person. It's the one thing I loved about her. I did as she said and strapped her onto the table.
Following this, she told me she wanted me to take her clothes off. This is the point where I was somewhat uncomfortable. Sure, we'd made out quite a few times, but just taking her clothes off of her and doing what I knew she'd want next, we hadn't been dating long enough, I felt, to be doing something like this.
She repeated herself, lifting her head to see what I was doing. I nodded and began to undress her. Whatever happens, happens.
After I took her clothes off of her, I fell in love with what I saw. At this point she was breathing hard. As was I. I knew exactly what she wanted me to do next. She knew exactly what I was thinking, telling me this was what she wanted.
I came up to her and felt her around me. We were pressed into each other. It was a feeling I'd never felt before, and the sounds she made only made the experience miles better.
She wanted me to really go at it, and so I did. I rocked her. She asked me to go faster and I did so.
We were writhing in ecstacy, that was until we heard a cracking in the distance and some dust falling from the ceiling. What was that?
I separated myself from her and untied her. We threw our clothes back on as the cracking only grew louder. We saw it forming on the walls and on the ceiling. The building was collapsing.

01 "A Monstrous Storm"

The shadows crept in through the window is the dark clouds overtook the mid-afternoon sky. A feeling of dread and hopelessness flooded me, tying my stomach into a knot. Looking at the clouds, I saw a streak of purple lightning streaking across the sky until it crashed down somewhere along the skyline with a thunderous boom, followed shortly by the ground rumbling beneath my feet. It was jarring. what started as a regular summer afternoon was quickly turning into something dreadful. The nearby trees were all swaying lightly in the breeze as rain gradually started pouring down, eventually creating a curtain of turrential downpour that threatened to flood the streets. Another flash of light followed by another thunderous boom forced me to look away from the window. It was becoming far too real for me. The oncoming storm was becoming too much to bear. I walked back into my bedroom and sat in front of my television. There was a news guy standing before a weather map. He was po...

"Hooked"

T he summer can be the perfect time to get away, to unwind while kicking your feet into the cool water while the hot sun is beaming down on you. But what if the bright summer sky was hiding behind it something even darker? I had been waiting for today all week. They'd finally opened the stream up for fishing. I was a little upset at the fact they'd decided to raise prices, but I didn't care, it was a nice day outside and I wasn't about to waste it sitting inside when I could be fishing. With my tacklebox in hand and my fishing pole in the other, I made my way to my truck. I threw everything in the back seat. I was about to head to the driver's seat but hesitated when I thought about bringing my cooler. I had one in the back ready for fish, as well as housing some canisters of worms. But what if I brought one along for some drinks? After a few moments I decided it might not be the greatest idea. It would be too much to carry and I didn't trust anyone that...

"Tapping"

T here are some things we are all afraid of, whether or not we choose to admit it to ourselves. Perhaps you feel that the ocean is a safe place, yet when you arrive you find yourself fearing what may be swimming below you. What brushed up against your leg? Can they feel you trembling? Can they smell your fear? There I lay, in bed in an attempt to fall asleep. My television was sitting at a low volume as to not awaken me by surprise as I drift to sleep. I've had the unpleasant experience before. Tonight, I turned to my side, facing away from the harsh light of the television, yet still able to make out almost perfectly what they were saying. What was on right now was a couple arguing in a sitcom. I didn't care much for what they were saying, but the roar of the laugh track after every line or two was somewhat soothing to me. I was so close to drifting to sleep, when across the room there came a tapping on my window. I sat up and turned toward the window. It was pitch black...
