365 Short Horrors

H ave you ever been in love, only for it to end in heartbreak as they leave their eyes lingering on another? What was that feeling you had inside, did you feel hollow, like you could have done better? Do you feel incredible jealousy and rage toward the person you lost them to? Why is it that sadness and depression twists our minds into such a dark place? And do we ever have a chance of escape? How far does your mind go? Coming home from work, all I could think about was how much a failure I was. I can't shake the image from my mind of a customer telling me I was a waste of space and I didn't deserve the job I'd been at for several years.
